How My Botsy (YouPage LLC) collects and uses data, including cookies, Google AdSense advertising, third-party ad vendors and analytics.

Effective date: October 28, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how YouPage LLC ("we", "us"), a Michigan company in the United States, handles personal data when you use mybotsy.com, its tools, blog and newsletter ("My Botsy"). We are the controller of this data.

1. What we collect

  • What you enter into tools. Text, files, domains, URLs or other input you give a tool are processed to produce your result. Some tools run entirely in your browser; others send your input to our server, and lookup tools may query public services (for example DNS or Whois servers) for the domain or IP address you entered. We do not use tool input for advertising or sell it.
  • Newsletter. If you subscribe to Botsy's Weekly Toolbox we store your email address, the name you give (if any), your language, the date, your IP address and approximate location (country and city, derived from your IP address), and basic browser and device details. We send a confirmation email first and only add you to the list after you click the link (double opt-in).
  • Contact form. Your name, email address and message, so we can reply.
  • Accounts. If you create an account: your name, email address, a securely hashed password, your settings and basic login records.
  • Technical data. Like most websites, our servers and security providers automatically receive your IP address, browser type, device, referring page, pages visited and the time of your visit. This is used to run, secure and improve the site.

2. Cookies and similar technologies

We use these categories of cookies and similar technologies:

  • Strictly necessary: keep the site working and secure, for example your session, security tokens, spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile) and your cookie choices.
  • Preferences: remember settings such as your language and light or dark theme.
  • Analytics: we use a measurement pixel from traffictrance.com to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed, the referring site, browser and device type and approximate location.
  • Advertising: used by Google AdSense and other ad partners to show, measure and, where you allow it, personalize ads (see section 3).

When you first visit, a cookie banner lets you accept or reject optional cookies. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookies link in the footer, and you can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

3. Advertising, Google AdSense and third-party vendors

My Botsy may show ads served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

Other third-party vendors or ad networks may also use cookies and web beacons to serve and measure ads on this site. These vendors process data under their own privacy policies. You can learn how Google uses this information at How Google uses information from sites that use its services.

You can opt out of personalized advertising from Google in Google Ads Settings, and opt out of personalized ads from many other vendors at www.aboutads.info/choices or, in Europe, www.youronlinechoices.eu. Where the law requires it, for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, we ask for your consent before personalized ads are shown.

4. How and why we use data

  • to provide the tools and features you request (performance of a contract or our legitimate interests);
  • to send the newsletter you signed up for (your consent, which you can withdraw at any time);
  • to reply to messages (legitimate interests);
  • for analytics and personalized advertising (your consent where the law requires it);
  • to keep the site secure, prevent abuse and comply with the law (legitimate interests and legal obligations).

5. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data for money. We share data only with providers that help us run My Botsy: Hostinger (web hosting), Cloudflare (content delivery, security and spam protection), Google (email delivery and, when enabled, AdSense advertising), traffictrance.com (analytics) and the public services queried by lookup tools. We may also disclose data if the law requires it or to protect our rights and users.

6. International transfers

We are based in the United States, and our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, these transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

7. How long we keep data

Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe, after which we keep only what we need to respect your choice. Contact messages are kept as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up. Account data is kept until you delete your account. Technical logs are kept only for a limited period, unless needed to investigate abuse.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. Residents of the EEA, UK and Switzerland may also complain to their local data protection authority. California residents may request to know and delete their personal information and may opt out of the "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising by rejecting advertising cookies in our cookie settings. We will not discriminate against you for using these rights. To make a request, contact us using the details below.

9. Children

My Botsy is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and UK), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We use HTTPS encryption, access controls and reputable providers to protect data. No online service is completely secure, so please avoid entering sensitive information into tools.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy, for example when we add new features or advertising partners. We will change the effective date above and, for significant changes, show a notice on the site.
